Cranksgiving

Get ready for some holiday silliness, on two wheels on November 22 for the annual Cranksgiving hunt.

Teams of 2-5 will circle the city in a race to collect non-perishable goods on this treasure hunt food drive that benefits Outside In, a non-profit organization that provides support to youth who live outdoors.

Cranksgiving events happen all over the nation, and this is only the second one in Portland. Last year’s event was a huge success with $1,500 in food items collected. Cranksgiving Seattle is currently in possession of the Top Banana Trophy and Portland Cranksgiving is trying to wrestle it out of their grasp by having a larger crowd of participants.

Prizes!

There are prizes best costume, the first team back and the biggest spenders, awarded by team. And while speed is important, fun and antics reign supreme at this light hearted event.

New this year

One lucky winner will earn a coveted spot on the prestigious Filmed by Bike Jury, the selection panel that wades through international bike movies to choose this bicycle film festival’s program.
