Cracker Barrel and Cabela’s Ride

May 7 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

If you’ve ever lived in the South, you’ll be familiar with Cracker Barrel, a restaurant chain known for its Southern cuisine. The chain has opened their first location on the West coast, and this bike ride goes down to Tualatin for a late lunch there (bring $). The restaurant has bike memorabilia on the wall including a 3-speed bicycle, and the facility also contains the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store with a lot of unique merchandise. Right next to this Cracker Barrel is Cabela’s which is worth visiting for its animal waterfall and giant aquariums at the back of the store.

This ride is 19 miles one-way and 38 miles round trip, and follows the entire length of the paved Fanno Creek Trail. The route back is slightly different to check out a new separated bike path through Tigard. Taking Trimet from downtown Tualatin or Tigard is an option for the jouney back to Portland. The ride starts and ends at the Rivelo bike shop, which is just across the street from the OMSI/SE Water Ave MAX Orange Line station.
