About Feed the Elk then Feed the Bike Riders
Pre Ride Tour: This is the kind of field trip that you loved in school. We will deliver the daily winter hay feeding to a herd of elk at the Jewell Meadows Wildlife Area. The elk are fed hay during the winter months to help keep them off adjacent farms where they damage fences and crops when natural feed becomes scarce.
The Ride: After the tour we will drive to the nearby Klaskanine Fish Hatchery and ride from there to Astoria for lunch on the Riverwalk at the Wet Dog Café. The RT distance is 35 miles
