Tour de Fronds 6/15

June 15 @ 6:30 am - 7:00 pm

The Tour de Fronds is one of the most beautiful cycling events in Oregon. The Tour is your choice of scenic rides on low-traffic roads in Southern Oregon’s beautiful Coast Range. From your saddle enjoy views of old-growth forests, wildflowers, waterfalls, rivers, streams, and mountain vistas.

The Tour is well-supported with many and varied snacks and beverages available at each rest stop. Registration includes a huge finish line party with dinner.

The Tour de Fronds transverses Oregon’s premier Glendale/Powers Bicycle Recreation Area, a project of USDA Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.

Six rides are available with different climbing and grade challenges. One courses offers a mix of asphalt and gravel for those of you who want to get crunchy and see the Rogue River.

Plan to spend Father’s Day weekend in Powers. There is a Friday night dinner sponsored by the Powers HS senior class, the ride on Saturday (registration covers all food/drinks) and a Sunday Father’s Day Breakfast by the Lions Club. The Friday and Sunday meals are fundraisers so there is a small additional fee.

This tucked-away ride has consistently been named a Best Bike Ride in the region by the readers of ORbike. Come find out for yourself what all the fuss is (rightly) about.
