Gorgeous Weather Brings Out the Best

It’s amazing what a little sunshine can do for a bike ride. The gorgeous weather beings out the best in us – and throngs of bikers are taking to the streets like never before.

Spend a sunny day on the waterfront in Portland and you’ll see bikers whizzing along the path, BMXers doing tricks by the fountain, families pulling trailers, wobbly new riders in bike-print dresses and nearly everyone with smiles on their faces.

Soak it in while you can

Take a minute to soak it all in. I know I did. I had a very busy day on Wednesday as the skies opened up to the vibrant sunshine. And as much as I was eager to get home, crack open the computer and bang out some serious work, the weather, and the energy of Portland, called to me. Instead I took two precious hours to soak it all in – this rare moment of lovely sunshine in mid March and a sign of times to come.

What about you?

How are you making the most of this incredible weather? What’s the bike scene like where you live?

This weather is the bomb. I’m planning a long ride to Sauvies Island this weekend with some friends. I can’t wait. Just got my bike tuned up, too.

My kind of riding weather. I saw that action of rush hour and it got me hopeful for summer. Maybe I’ll finally get more of my coworkers on bikes. I’m always trying. I share these articles, too.

I live in Grants Pass and I’ve never seen this before in Grants Pass. LOL. Cool for you guys, it looks like a good time. I ride in the woods mostly but sometimes around here a little on the road.

That was one of my first bike commutes. I hope to keep doing it = very fun.
