Strawberry Century

Event Details:
Event Description:
There's lots of fun, plenty of challenge and a fruit-and-ice-cream feast awaiting you at the Santiam Slow Spokes? 12TH Strawberry Century. This early summer bicycle ride samples some of the best in Linn County scenery, clean air, low-traffic roads, copious food and terrific people.

Visit places with colorful names like Lebanon, Waterloo, Pleasant Valley, Sweet Home, Old Holley, Crawfordsville and Brownsville. See streams, big lakes, an Indian Council tree, historic old houses and lots of tranquil countryside.

There are some hills to keep the ride interesting for veteran cyclists, yet not enough to overtax beginners. And you can choose from 55-, 70- or 100-mile clearly marked routes. A back-up staff of caring volunteers helps you with flats and unexpected problems.

Then there is the food ? lots of it at the right places along the routes and capped off with a fresh-strawberry-and-ice-cream feast at the finish.

Yep! This is a great ride to start off your summer of bicycling. Bring your friends and come enjoy the Slow Spokes 10th Strawberry Century!
