If your Memorial Day plans include simply a BBQ, some beers and buds, that’s cool. But kind of boring, don’t you think?
Make this Memorial Day weekend one you’ll remember with the Art of Survival Century, May 28 on the border of Oregon and California. There’s still time to sign up and head on down.
The ride takes place in Tulelake, California, just south of Klamath Falls. Because the area is remote, most riders will come from outside the region. And because the region is so awesome, most riders are planning killer weekend getaways. We’ve heard from riders who are adding on a day of mt. biking in Klamath Falls, planning on a tour of Bend, hiking and hot springing in Oakridge and making other cool outdoor playground plans.
- Hushed farm roads.
- Only a five hour drive from Portland through a gorgeous landscape.
- A very flat, scenic century – great for early in the season or your first century ever. Plus shorter routes.
- Camping on site.
- A perfectly sized event with just a few hundred of your new best friends.
- Striking views of Mt. Shasta and a completely different landscape than most of us are accustomed to.
