The Portland Century, Portland’s signature distance ride, has an exciting new start location: University of Portland on the striking Willamette Bluffs in North Portland. The views are going to be gorgeous when the ride kicks off early in the morning. Portland Century features all new routes (100, 77, and 45 miles) that dip into Washington.
Choose Your Route
Choose your route of 44, 80 or 100 miles. To get the full experience, sign up for the 100 mile route and visit six rest stops, including the Vancouver Hatchery and the Lacamas Lake-side stop. Organic deli sandwiches are served in the La Center amphitheater and Northwest Organic Farms offers fresh-from-the-vine, organic, heirloom tomatoes and garlic drizzled with olive oil.
Go the Distance – You Won’t Regret It
The 100 mile course is punctuated by riverside rides towering views of Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens and the serene landscape of rural southern Washington. The route is a comfortable 2,400 feet of climbing along quiet roads and the chance to experience a variety of cycling infrastructure, from paths to boulevards to the dual river bridge crossings.
Cool Rest Stops
The “Cool” Rest Stop, Cellar 55, is always a refreshing 55 degrees and the wine is always pouring. Enjoy free tastings paired with delicious appetizers before tackling the final leg of your journey. There are discounts on bottle and case purchases but don’t worry; the event organizers will happily deliver your purchases to the finish line.
