Washington County is covered in a patchwork of beautiful roads and on June 28 you can explore the region with your choice of a relatively flat 25 mile route or a challenging 40 mile climb – both for the admirable cause of supporting Beaverton-area schools.
“With a struggling school system and a thriving cycling community, it just makes sense to have an event like this. People around here love to ride their bikes. What could be better than a day riding to support local schools?” says event
organizer Steve Lechleiter.
The ride features a midway rest stop and lunch at the finish line.
One hundred percent of the fundraising proceeds will be given to the education foundation you select. Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard/Tualatin, Sherwood and Forest Grove school districts are partnering on this fun ride.
If this is a cause you support but you’re not able to ride that day, you can make a donation or set up your own fundraising page on the event’s website.
