This summer we’ve been talking a lot about the benefits of watermelon as a recovery drink. So we thought it would be fitting to include a recipe for watermelon as a recovery Drink.
Salt, for rimming the glass (optional)
Ice (1/2 pint glass full)
1 1/2 ounces tequila (blanco, 100 percent agave)
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
2 oz blended or mashed watermelon
1/2 ounce Cointreau
Mix the ice, tequila, lime juice, watermelon and Cointreau in a shaker or glass and shake until well chilled.
Pour into a fresh glass rimmed with salt (optional) and filled with ice.
Remove your bike shoes, peel off those sweaty socks, put your feet up and have someone serve this to you immediately for maximum refreshment and recovery.
