If you’re a regular event rider, chances are you’ve seen all sorts of Oregon on your bike, especially if you ride Cycle Oregon. That’s why we’re so in love with Tour de Fronds, a unique opportunity to ride through the Southern Oregon Coast Range on June 21 out of Powers.
Not only is the region gorgeous, there are seven routes to choose from: everything from gravel greatness to smooth pavement, steep to flat, short to long.
And you never know what you’ll discover along the way, whether that’s majestic views, encounters with serene wildlife or musicians in the field to serenade you as you pass by.
Tour de Fronds is a homegrown ride with a lot of the characteristics that make us love Oregon: Friendly people, scenic views and fresh air.

Powers, Oregon
Routes from 30-102 miles.
Lush! Like it!
My wife and I rode Tour de Fronds this past weekend, the “challenging” 102 mile Cruiser Loop. This ride is a must do again next year. Lots of route options, 30, 45, 62, 76, & 102, great organization and volunteers, literally car free roads, safety radio communication and the greatest rest stops. Campfire coffee and home made cinnamon rolls (among many things) at the first rest stop. The local musicians are out adding to the fun and all the volunteers are extremely helpful. Good camping facilities right at the start. Don’t hesitate and sign up as soon as it comes out on the calendar. Next years date is June 20, 2015.
