Month of Riding

The pandemic shut us down for a year and a half, and that gave us pause. Since our start in 1999, we have planned hundreds of routes and worked with dozens of venues. As we contemplated re-opening in 2021, we decided to go with the “Best of” approach:  the 3 best areas to ride paired with 3 landmark properties. And the Month of Riding was born. While full support, from breakfast to gourmet dinner, is common to all three, each event shines on its own.

The Portland Century is “all about Portland”, literally and figuratively. Starting at Portland’s playground, McMenamins Edgefield, the ride rings around the Rose City, highlighting both the natural beauty and the cycling infrastructure.

Petal Pedal is set at the resplendent 80-acre Oregon Garden, in Silverton, voted one of the “ten quaintest towns in the US.” One can climb to Silver Falls or explore the fertile flats of the Willamette Valley. Registration includes admission to the gardens.

The Harvest Century takes place at McMenamins Grand Lodge. Exploring both the farms beyond Portland’s Urban Growth Boundary, and the vineyards of the Willamette Valley, the Harvest Century allows you to customize your route, from 25 to 100-miles.
