The eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a momentous occasion for the entire Pacific Northwest. Tour de Blast is a momentous occasion for every single ride who conquers this event.
Sure, you’ll climb. A lot. But the striking views are your reward, as are bragging rights and the sense of victory you’ll feel when you reach the summit.
The Spirit Lake Memorial Highway winds up the Toutle Valley into the Mount St. Helens blast zone all the way to the Johnston Ridge Viewpoint. Most of the course is on recently resurfaced highway (blissss!) with wide shoulders and excellent visibility.
